AMPS prides itself on its non-confrontational approach to employer relationships. AMPS has never undertaken any strike action and does not believe that this form of industrial action is effective in achieving a resolution to problems. Members of AMPS are automatically members of the Unite Union, but it is important to point out that any industrial action instigated by Unite does not affect members of AMPS. However, members may wish to reflect on their own individual position when faced with situations in which other sections within Unite, or any other union, are participating in strike action – is it appropriate to cross a picket line?
